Most bunker operators have two problems. The first is that the BDN describes the full bunker product (grade, volume, vessel) but does not carry the sustainability claim. The second is that the PoS describes the bio-component but rarely matches the bunker workflow. The result: a manual reconciliation per delivery, often done after the fact, often in Excel. FuelFWD links the two natively. The bio-component of every blend is captured at delivery, mass balance is updated in real time, and outgoing PoS records are generated scheme-correctly. Questions from bunker operators
- Yes. The bunker product carries the full grade on the BDN; the bio-component carries its own PoS. FuelFWD links them at delivery and tracks each layer separately.
- When a delivery requires bio-component that isn’t yet in your inventory, FuelFWD records the short position and tracks it until incoming feedstock closes the gap. The mass balance reflects this explicitly, so the position stays visible and defensible.
- ISCC EU, REDcert, and 2BSvs as standard. Other recognised schemes can be added on request.
